Sometimes I want a multicolored image and although I know that I can use individual Stampin' Write Markers, I find that the black isn't always as vibrant as I wwould like. But, magic tape to the rescue! If I places scotch tape over the images that I don't want inked, I can ink the Christmas Cheer sentiment with Memento Black Ink. Let ne show you what I mean.
Although my tape also gets inked with black ink, it doesn't matter because I am pulling it off of my stamp. Very carefully pull the scoth tape off and dispose of it.
Now I can use my Stampin' Write Markers in order to color the berries red and the tree branches green. And, the result.
Because it was the technique that I wanted to share with you, I kept my card very simple. I didn't add colored rhienstones or candy dots but I will go back and do it after I finish this post..
But, this is a good technique to keep in mind when you want a multi-colored image. I learned this from Andrea Walford and felt that it was definitely worth sharing.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

Ginger
STAMPIN' SUPPLIES USED:

The proof if in the pudding, err, I mean in the card’s sentiment! This stamp really shows off how well this technique works. You are so right about the vibrancy of the black with a marker – just doesn’t do it justice sometimes. I have so many Christmas sets, I keep wondering, do I really need/want this one too? I have seen lots of festive cards made with this set. Thanks Ginger reminding us about using the tape!
Pretty cool!!
