From the time that I first looked at the stamp set Gorgeous Grunge, I wanted to use one of the images to make candles.
- My card base is 4-1/4 x 11 Island Indigo cardstock, scored at 5-1/2
- Tangelo Twist adds a pop of color in the next layer.
- Whisper White Cardstock provides a neutral palette for my candles. I inked the Gorgeous Grunge stamp first with Island Indigo Ink & after stamping the image, I thoroughly cleaned the stamp before inking it with Tangelo Twist Ink. This candle is stamped slightly lower and about 1/4" to the left of the first candle image.
- The candle flames are the result of using a Crushed Curry Marker on the largest splat of the smallest stamp from the set. The marker also was used to created the wick for the candle.
- The sentiment is from Sassy Salutations & was inked with Memento Black Ink.
- Black Baker's Twine is wrapped twice around the Whisper White layer & secured. A shorter piece of the same Baker's Twine is threaded through a Crushed Curry Button from the Regal's Pack & then it is tied in a bow.
I am anxious to make this in a variety of colors in order to have some on hand for those "birthday emergencies". With the appropriate color combo, I feel that this would work for just about anyone.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Hugs,
Ginger
