I like the look of a dark image stamped on dsp. Serene Sihouettes has some perfect images for creating just such an image. I stamped one of those images with Memento Black Ink on the Crushed Curry dsp from the Flashback paper pack. It was the ideal size for a tag created by the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.
Pulling the Old Olive color from my card "roots", I used a length of Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon for my tag topper. This unites my card base with the front of the card.
That tag image combined with the more subtly patterend paper from the Flashback dsp produces a nicely balanced card. The pop of color from the Crushed Curry dsp & Candy Dots gives life to the black patterns of dsp from the Flashback paper pack.
The Spiral Border Punch breaks the monotony of the black dsp and it also mimics the "squares" of the dsp from the base of my card.
The sentiment from And Many More is also stamped with Memento Black Ink. One end of the sentiment is banner cut and the other end is adorned with a touch of color provided by a little flower punched from Crushed Curry cardstock using the Itty Bitty Accents Pack. An Old Olive Candy Dot placed in the cemter of my flower gives another tie-in to the Old Olive card base.
The sketch used in the creation of my card is courtesy of Mojo Monday 344. I find it helpful to start my card by using a sketch. What is your process?

Unusual and perfect! Everything goes together perfectly. I also like the layout. The little flower with a dot in the middle is perfect. I see what you mean about stamping on DSP.

I really liked this card. The stamping on the dsp looked really good (I never thought of doing that, but I will now!) I really liked the colors and the format you used so what I’m saying is Awesome Card!
