My card today is for my favorite son-in-law . He does not like a lot of fuss and prefers simpler cards. I started with a color palette that I think Jason would like – Smoky Slate, Bermuda Bay and Tangerine Tango.
Using the Amazing Birthday stamp set, I used my Stampin' Write Markers to ink each section of my sentiment. Then I inked teh word "make" with Smoky Slate & the word "amazing" with Bermuda Bay. Both of these words were fussy cut and popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
My Smoky Slate card base is a notecard sized – 3-1/2" x 5". The mats are Tangerine Tango & Bermuda bay. Because my card is rather plain, I wanted to step up the envelope flap with some luscious paper from the Flowerpot dsp pack. The Tangerine Tango stripe is a perfect match to my card and ideal for a man.
Now for the inside of the card.
The sentiment is also from the set Amazing Birthday. It provides a bit of fun for the inside of the card. And, just so you know – Jason is my only son-in-law so it is ok for me to say that he is my favorite!

I like the color combination. Your pick of the Amazing Birthday is good. Like how you did the envelope flap. Another great card from Gingerstamps!
Fun! I like the smoky slate with these colors! I don’t know if I would have even thought of trying that. Who wouldn’t like this bright and cheery birthday card! Sort of simple but yet lots of interest but not all birthday cake and candles etc. I think he will love it!
I think Jason will love this card! It is simple but happy! Love the envelope flap and all the color choices!!
