I saw the sketch for the Paper Players 201 this week and decided to play along. It didn't look like anyone had used Timeless Talk so I decided to go for it!
Deciding on a color palette is easy witht he help of the Color Coach. After selecting the dsp from the
Moonlight dsp Stack, I checked the Color Coach for possibilities with Sahara Sand. One of the suggestions was Early Espresso, Pear Pizazz, & Sahara Sand. I went with it because I knew that I wanted a darker color for the tricycle and a lighter color for the swirl.
After laying the pieces out, I felt that my dsp needed an edging. Nothing dramatic, so I selected Sahara Sand & the Finishing Touches Edgelit. Just enough color to provide definition without overwhelming the dsp.
First I stamped the swirl from Everything Eleanor on Pear Pizazz cardstock with Pear Pizazz Ink. Next, I stamped the tricycle from Timeless Talk on top of the swirl using Early Espresso Ink. This was cut out with the Deco Labels Framelits.
The sketch called for a few banners which I cut and embossed with the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder & the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder. I intended to use Candy Dots on the wheels for embellishment, but the more I looked at my card, I felt Pearls would be a better fit. What do you think?
Would you like to see the sketch that I worked from?
Because my cardbase is Early Espresso, I lined the card with Whisper White and stamped the swirl from Everything Eleanor in Pear Pizza & then stamped the sentiment from Remembering Your Birthday in Early Espresso. This ties the front of the card with the inside of my card.

STAMPIN' UP! SUPPLIES USED:
I love the moonlight dsp but this pattern is one of my least favorites. I just could not figure out what to do with it since it is rather muted. Timeless Talk works perfectly!
WOW! This card is very elegant. You have put together colors and stamps that I wouldn’t have thought would go together. Nice job.
Great job! Love the colors you used and look at all that delicious texture! The edgelet looks like it was made for this DP – it carries over perfectly! Can you believe I don’t have the Everything Eleanor set? I just keep putting it off and I am a lover of flourishes. These work so well on this card. The inside is as special as the outside. Not sure which I would have used – the candy dots or pearls – both would work. Goofy me, I probably would have used both!
Yesterday, I tried to post my comment but had some trouble! I love the stamp -I have it, of course!! Nice card – as usual!!
GREAT card, Ginger! I love the color combination, the pearls and the layering of stamps on the main image. So glad you liked my sketch and joined us at The Paper Players!
What a sweet little creation! Love your swirly background stamping! Thanks so much for sharing this with us at the Paper Players!
