I am soooo excited! Yesterday, I decided to try my hand at Subway Art on a small scale – card size. It really is addicting! Pick a theme, gather stamps, and choose a color palette.
There are no rules! Stamp off the page, stamp upside down, stamp backwards – you get the idea. The only part of this card where used a stamp-a-ma-jig was on the vertical "HAPPY" . Other than that, I used a clear block that had a Clear-Mount Perfectly Placed Guide on it. If you don't own these guides, please consider getting them because they are extremely helpful in keeping sentiments straight.
Although I chose to use a good number of my stamps, you can create Subway Art with just a few stamps. I also used all of my Bright Classic Ink Pads but, it can be done very effectively with a few.
However, if you would like to have as many stamps and ink as I do, consider joining the Gingerstampers. Today is the last day to join Stampin' Up! for $99 and receive $150 worth of product of your choice! If you are interested, click on the join now button at the top of this post. If you would like to hear more, just email me or give me a call. I would love to help you increase your collection at a discount!
Remember that it doesn't have to be perfect. It is a handmade card and the recipient will be happy that you made an effort just for them. Be sure to check back tomorrow because I will have another Subway Art card for you.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! If you need the Clear-Mount Perfectly Placed Guides, just click on the image below and you will be taken directly to my Online Store.
Hugs,
Ginger
STAMPIN' UP! SUPPLIES USED:

A new format, how exciting! I like what you did with this card. A nice mix of color and good placement.
Wow! I love it! No rules and just stamping!! Good jump and a very happy card bright card!
Very clever…I would think you could stamp at an angle and every which way you wanted. Bet we could produce some awesome cards (as well as some pretty funny ones too) but they’d all be originals, right? You know I’ll be trying this style! Thanks.
Awesome card! Colorful & fun, love the stamping every which way, I really like the big birthday candle ~ awesome card!
Totally fun! One of those duh moments – why didn’t I think of that? I might have to add the little cupcake stamp in there too and a little fun touch of glitter or gold foil for the candle flame! Otherwise, it is just plain fun! SU needs to make some vertical words too – that would look really fun too mixed in here! Now, do you want to make a thank you card in the same way for us?
Thanks for the wonderful comments ladies! Please be sure to share your creations using this technique. Chris – your wish is my command! Check back tomorrow to see the Thank You card.
I need to try this! Thanks for the inspiration.
