If you read my blog yesterday, then you know that the basketball team that my son coaches won the Western C Divisional Tournament for Montana. Over the course of the four days, a number of local people stepped up to help the team in various ways. As a stamper/card maker you can imagine that I volunteered to make some "special" thank you cards. I am going to show you 2 cards of the same design with the only difference being the addition of some designer paper. I'd like to know which one you prefer. Please leave a comment to vote for your pick.
Take a peek at the backside of this card. Notice the white circle for writing the message.
Here's card 2,
The school colors are red and blue so that is the basis for my color combo today. The blank circle on the flip part of the card is for the message.
The banner with the Thank You from Sassy Salutations is only attached to the card on the left side of the banner.
To give the basketball a bit more dimension, I ran it through the Delicate Dots Embossing Folder. Here's a closeup so you can see the detail.
I think I will use a similar design for the Congratulations cards.
Please consider leaving a message to vote for your favorite card.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Hugs,
Ginger
STAMPIN' UP SUPPLIES USED:
I love how you used the embossing folder for the basketball! Its so nice of you to make these cards! I prefer the one with the dsp.
I also like the one with the dsp. Congrats to your son & his team.
They are both great looking cards. It was hard to choose, but I think the one with the dsp is a little cheerier/happier looking for a thank you card. It gets my vote.
I agree! Both cards are outstanding but the one with the dsp gets my vote! Great Job!
Well I waited to give it some thought, it didn’t help. I like both of them. So I guess I’ll have to go with the majority. Now back to discovering neat things tte Kindle HD will do. So many hidden treasures.
I bet you know which one I’d pick & you would be correct, the dsp! You still amaze me with your ideas for cards. How in the world do you know what dsp or cardstock to use? Awesome job once again!
Both are fun. But, I have to be the odd man out and say the first one since it seemed to showcase the basketball and the Thank you. I love the DP together but I thought it distracted me from the basketball. Also, not sure if I would use the big dots of the embossing folder for the basket ball – but that is just me – reminds me of a golf ball that is turned wrong side out and brown. Yeah, work with me here – I have a pretty vivid imagination at times! Also. the 1st card showcases those stars of which they are more so than on the DP. Either way, they are both winners! You know I had to say that eventually! Great job to you and your son’s coaching!
Rosemary the colors were honestly selected because they are the Superior Bobcat team colors. But, if I am ever wondering what colors to use, I pull out my Color Coach from Stampin’ Up!
congrats to the team and you ginger! big week for you both. i like the one without the dsp but that might be because the chevron dsp takes away from the rest of this great card. go bobcats!!
