The sun is shining with beautiful blue skies and a balmy temperature of 80 degress. Could the day be any more perfect? Well, maybe if I was sitting on my deck with an icy cold glass of ice tea visiting with you!
Almost as nice as the scenario above, I have been in my cool (not icy cold) basement dreamining about flowers and butterflies. This morning I knew that I wanted to create a z-fold card with some flowers. That was about the extent of my idea. But, you know how it goes. You start creating and pretty soon the card kinda has a direction it wants to go. Or at least, that is what it was like today.
Later in the week, I will try to post some hints about using the Pansy Punch to punch out the flowers stamped with the Flower Shop. I discovered a trick by trial and error for lining up the punch and the flower. Be sure to check back.
The sentiment is usually the last thing that I stamp. Looking at the white embossed cardstock, I decided that I needed a bit of color. So, keeping with the "summer" theme, I stamped the sentiment found in the Six-Sided Sampler on a bird punched out of Daffodil Delight from the Brights DSP Stack with the Bird Builder Punch. Whoo – that was a mouth full!
Because the card is a z-fold card, I wanted to make sure that it would stay closed until the card is opened. The new Crisp Cantaloups 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim not only dressed the card up with a punch of color, but because the ribbon is stretchy, it makes it easy to slide it off and on the card.

How unusual!! I like the card! It has class, color, and creativity!! I think I will have to try this card!!
Your card is stunning – so Springy. I love it. I will definitely have to get the stamp set and punch. Thank you.
I like love the colorful flowers! Very nice card and yet again you have inticed me to want this stamp & punch. Very nice card!
The flowers are a really nice touch. I’m wondering what size the card is opened up flat, and thinking about how to emboss the whole length of the paper–but I think I’ve got it!!! Another great idea!
I posted about this card yesterday but today my comment is not there, what is going on. I guess we have a mystery. It is no mystery that I really like this card and would like to copy it in the very near future. Ginger you are amazing in what you can do with card making.
Thanks Gussy!
