Stampin' Up rocked it with the new Flower Shop stamp set & the coordinating Pansy Punch. If you go back in time, you will remember a technique where you heat embossed with white embossing powder on vellum cardstock. It's been a while since I used that technique on a card. But, the Flower Shop stamp seemed like a good candidate.
After embossing the flowers, I turned the vellum over. Using ink pads with sponge daubers, I colored the back of the image with different color inks. Some people like to use markers but I wanted a little more control on the color intensity and I feel that daubers give me that control. You can apply as little or as much ink as you desire. And, I did not have to stay in the lines because the flowers would be punched out. Craft ink can take a long time to dry on vellum but the first setting on the Heat Tool worked like a charm to dry the ink quickly. No fussy cutting for this girl! The Pansy Punch is a sweet match for the Flower Shop stamp set
The Honeycomb Embossing Folder provides some texture for the background. After adhering my flowers with glue dots, I felt that the card needed more color. The 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim stacked 3-deep with the help of glue dots, added a unique look. But, I still felt that the card needed something else.
You probably noticed that I have a pattern of "three" going on with this card. Must be my math background or something, but I really wanted to continue the pattern of three. Consequently, I needed a smallish sentiment in order to repeat the pattern on 3 strips of In Color c.s. I stamped the sentiment in Jet Black Staz On and of course, the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig was a neccesity for me to get these lined up.

I love the card today, everything about it. I did notice the change of colors with my friend stamp on it. I love how the new colors go together.
I am in love with the new in colors! So fresh and they look so clean on the white background. Very pretty card!
