Yesterday I had time to create a few cards while I was basking in the arrival of summer.  I was really liking the Coastal CabanaCrushed Curry color combo so I went with it for this card too.  In an earlier blog post, I mentioned that when I first saw the stamp set Regarding Dahlias, I was not a fan.  How in the world could I have not liked Regarding Dahlias?  Must have been so tired when I first saw it that I couldn't see straight.  At least, that will be my excuse because I love this stamp set now!

Regarding Dahlias layered
I stamped the dahlia three times in different color inks then fussy cut different parts of the image.  Some pop dots to provide dimension, made the flower come to life.  Thanks to my friend Ann Schach for sharing this idea.

The 2013-2015 In Color dsp Stack provided the perfect piece of Coastal Cabana dsp for some backdrop. In order to mimic that pattern on some of my cardstock, I ran them through the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder.

If you look closely, you will see that I used the Scallop Border Punch to add some fun to the top of the patterned dsp.  And, the scallops just cried outto have some Pearls added.
