Hi Readers! I decided to have some fun on my blog for the rest of this week by providing a challenge. Pick a stamp set and some dsp in order to create 3 different cards. The catch – start with a basic card and step it up for tomorrow and the next day. This is my basic card.
Those of you who know me presonally recognize many of my favorire colors in the Birthday Basics dsp. I am definitely a Crisp Cantaloupe – Bermuda Bay kinda girl. The stamp set Label Something provided the perfect sentiment for my card.
Sometimes don't you just feel like creating a simple card? That was how I felt today. And, I am pleased with how it turned out. A tip for you – the Hexagon Punch makes perfect flag ends for any strip of paper that is 1-1/8" or narrower. Just slide the paper into the punch and click – out comes a perfect flag end.
I did slide my cardstock into the punch until the edges of the cardstock and the punch match. I am a little short of that in my picture. Thanks to Mary Fish for sharing this tip.
The card definitely uses feminine colors but it could easily be adapted for a guy by changing the color palette.

I love it, Ginger! These are perfect colors for summer. Clean and fabulous!
Great idea! Cute card! Can’t wait for part 2!
I love this card: colors and design!! I will wait with great anticipation for the next installment tomorrow!! GOOD JOB!
Very nice start, anxious to see 2nd installment. I like your choice of colors.
Oooooh! Love this card. It’s a quick way to make a card in a hurry. Also a good way to use those leftover strips of paper we all have now and then; and it’s elegant, yet simple to make. Love the tip with the hexagon punch too. Bet you have a few more up your sleeve!!!
Great idea to make banners quickly. I can’t get enough banners lately! So cute!
