I honestly feel that the most difficult cards to make are sympathy cards. The emotion connected with any sympathy card has to be dealt with first. Unfortunately, I had a dear Aunt pass away recently. She did live a full life and for that we are thankful. But, she leaves behind one remaining sister and I wanted to send her a heartfelt card that was simple. So………….
Look carefully at the bottom edge to see a simple but elegant bit of embossing provided by the Needlepoint Textures Impressions Embossing Folder by Stampin' Up! The repeated image was accomplished by inking the Lovely as a tree stamp with soft suede ink and stamping once, then again without reinking. I like the effect that repeated stamping gives.

That is such a lovely card. It’s simple, warm, and peaceful. When I send a sympathy card I want it to show my sorrow for their loss. That is why it is so difficult to make sympathy cards. This card is simply beautiful. One other point–when making cards we don’t often think about sympathy cards until we need them and then it’s harder to do in a hurry. Good job.
Beautiful card! Thanks for sharing it with us!
Ginger, I hadn’t thought about this stamp set for a sympathy card but it is a great choice. I like the little bit of extra at the bottom.
Beautiful card & I know how much Aunt Vi will appreciate it.The simplcity of this card makes it gorgeous, another knockout for this you on your cards!
