Yesterday was the best day ever because I spent it playing with my new goodies and creating so I could share with you. Although I am struggling with the photography end of things, I am really pleased with what I have for you today. I made the cutest 3-D Valentine Treat holder for my Granddaughter Katie using the Bloomin' Love Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!
The box is pretty simple but I am excited about the decorations on it. Let's start at the top – the Curvy Corner Trio Punch gives a sweet curve to the top edge of the box and it also punches the slit for my Blushing Bride ribbon. Are you curios where you can find this sweet ribbon. It is part of the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit found on page 17 of the 2016 Occasions Catalog. The ribbon is tied with a piece of Whisper White Baker's Twine. In addition, a length of pearl trim – also found in the Embellishment Kit, and a length of sparkling Blushing Bride Sequin Trim are also secured with the Baker's Twine.
A Tea Lace Paper Doilie adds such a nice feminine touch to the front of my box. This is topped with a Rose Red card stock piece whose corners were rounded with the Project Life Corner Rounder to match the curves at the top of the box. The sentiment piece is created by inking the heart image from Bloomin' Love with Blushing Bride Ink and stamping off before stamping the image on a pice of Whisper White card stock that has been shaped with the Tags & Labels Framelits. The sentiment from Bloomin' Love is inked with Rose Red Ink & stamped full strength over the heart.
The final touch was the addition of a few Dove Mint Hearts. Hopefully Katie will love this too! Remember if you have any questions about any of my creations, I am only an email away. In addition, I invite you to leave me a comment about todays project. I love to read your comments and I definitely look forward to them.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Hugs,
Ginger
STAMPIN' UP! SUPPLIES USED:
That is so pretty. Katy will love it. The lace doily and the pearl & sequin embellishments really make it look rich.
Would you kindly share the directions and size to make the box? That would be awesome!
What’s not to love? You have one fantastic surprise here complete with chocolate! Love all the little embelishments and the doily is the perfect touch with the pearls and luscious ribbon! Well done! I agree with Casey – measurements would be helpful. I think I could construct the box part ok but having the cutting and scoring down would be a help. I know I need new glasses as this eyeballing measurements aren’t working the best for me. That is pretty neat that the curvy trio punch thing makes the little slit for the ribbon to be inserted. Katy will love it! So glad you got to play with your new goodies!
I will happily share directions peeps when I return home tonight. I am attending a Scrapbook Retreat this weekend but sleeping at home. Look for a post on Saturday with the scoop!
Katie will love this treat box!! You out did yourself! I agree that measurements would be great! Have fun at your retreat!
