I know that is a strange title for my post. But, I created a card that I intended to use for my PPA post until my critics said they liked the bunny card just a bit more than this one.

I like the dramatic contrast of colors in this card. I have always been a fan of black & yellow combinations on a card. And, with the bee, it was just natural to go with that color scheme.
A small square of Pool Party c.s. embossed with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder softens the look of my card.

The bumble bee is stamped, colored and cut out with an Oval Framelit. I also stamped the bee on Vellum Cardstock with Black Staz On Ink. After is was dry, I snipped the wings and attached them with Glue Dots to my main image.

The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink & banner cut. A few Regal Candy Dots give the banner some color.
My black mat is embossed but it is tough to tell on the other pictures. Here is a close up.

STAMPIN' UP! SUPPLIES USED:
Feb 26, 2015 | Birthday |
It's time for another Pals PaperArts Sketch Challenge by the talented Nicole Watt.

Although I am using the Happy Easter Bunny stamp, my card is not an Easter card.

A Tinge of Ginger:
This bunny is just to dang cute not to repurpose. S/he makes me laugh so I thought it would go perfectly with a celebrate sentiment from Endless Wishes. The font fits nicely with the style of my card.

Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper has a nice combination of patterned dsp that works well for any spring celebration. I chose a soft blue pattern that reminds me of clouds and a pink paper with a small white pattern.
The bunny is colored with a Nude Blendabilitie and highlighted with a Pink Pirouette Blendabilitie. His bow is colored with a Soft Sky Blendabilitie. Did you catch the small Pearl in the center of the bow. I am considering going back and coloring it Calypso Coral. It would give me the visual triangle that Design Experts say is a good thing. What do you think? Please leave me a comment with your thoughts on it.

A piece of Calypso Coral Pompom Trim gives his cottontail just the right amount of sass! The sentiment from Endless Wishes is stamped with Calypso Coral Ink on Whisper White Cardstock and cut out with the Bitty Banner Framelits and popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
