A Ginger Snap! PPA 273 Sketch Challenge!

It's time for another exciting challenge from the Pals Paper Arts.  Nicole Watt has come up with a fun challenge so won't you give it a try and join us over at the PPA.

Happy halloween left

 And here is the sketch.

PPA 273 Oct 27

My stamp set of choice is Witches' Night.  Stamping it twice, once in Tangelo Twist & once in Memento Tuxedo Black, allowed me to snip appropriate sections of each in order to layer the elements for both color contrast & dimension.

Happy halloween rt

The patterned paper is from Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper.  Dots & stripes add a fun element to my card.  Of course, I just couldn't resist the addition of some Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

A Ginger Snap! Christmas Cuties!

I really debated about purchasing the Christmas Cuties stamp set from Stampin' Up!  I just wasn't sure how much I would use it.  In a moment of weakness – I know you know what I am talking about here! – I succumbed.  But, I am sure happy that I did!!

Snow suit rt
The trees in the background of my card are stamped at varying heights with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Whisper White Cardstock.  Although it does not show well in my picture, I sponged Soft Sky Ink between the trees for a bit of blue sky.

The look of snow was accomplished by tearing several narrow pieces of Whisper White card stock.  Pulling the card stock toward you results in a nice edge – wish I had edged it with some soft sky….  My imitation snow banks were adhered to the card and my sentiment from Christmas Cuties was stamped with Pear Pizzaz Ink at the bottom of my card.

Snow suit strt.  The image from the Christmas Cuties is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Watercolor Paper.  Coloring the image using an Aqua Painter with  Pear Pizzazz, Basic Gray, Chocolate Chip, & Pink Pirouette Inks brought the image to life.  Afer fussy cutting it, I popped it up with Stampin' Dimensionals but his feet are inserted in one of the snow banks.

The card is much brighter than it appears in the picture.

Please remember that the special stamp sale from Stampin' Up! starts today.  I will post more details when they are released.  I appreciate every purchase made from my Online Store and I would be delighted to have you shop with me.  To do so, Just click the shop now button at the top of the page.

A Ginger Snap! Happy Birthday Beth!

Happy birthday to our wonderful daughter Beth.  Beth is my creative compatriot and a member of my downline.  Here is the card I cased from my friend and fellow Pal - Linda Callahan.

Beth birthday rt

It's a sweet card that reminds me of Beth.  The stamp set Pretty Thankkful has so many possibilities. I used it for the frame around my butterfly.  And, I love the pink/black combo!

Beth strt

The Work of Art stamp set is inked in Pink Pirouette and provides the bit of color for the black butterfly found in Garden of Bloom.  The sentiment can be found in Endless Birthday Wishes.  The font is perfect for my card.

Finally, here are some pictures of Beth, her husband Jason and children Katie & Cole.

Beth Yellowstone

This picture was taken at Yellowstone Park.  What an ideal setting!

This was taken at a fourth of July parade.

If you see some stamp sets that you would like to own, remember that the 15% off sale starts Monday, October 19th.  And, I would be thrilled if you ordered them from my Online Store.
