One of my favorite In Colors Hello Honey is retiring along with a sweet package of DSP called English Garden. Today I am paying tribute to both. The "bee" dsp caught my eye right from the beginning and unfortunately I am just now getting around to creating a card with it.

The Watercolor Wash stamp set inked in Hello Honey Ink provides a colorful background for my card. A simple rectangle of English Garden DSP is layered behind my banner. The banner is created with the Banner Triple Punch and stamped with a sentiment found in Suite Sayings. It was colored with Hello Honey, Soft Suede, & Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers. (The Hello Honey Stampin' Write Marker is also retiring)

A strip of retiring 2014 – 2016 In Color Washi Tape adds some zest to the top of my tag. In addition, a bow made with Linen Thread adds instant appeal. An embellishment that is also retiring - Itty Bitty Accents Epoxy Stickers, ties it all together. This is definitely a sweet & easy card.

Apr 25, 2016 | Retirement |
It's time for another card for a friend who is retiring. Or as she says, just tired!

Wild About Flowers contains everything I needed for my card – some sweet flowers and a nice choice of sentiments. The stems are stamped in Pear Pizazz Ink using both first & second generation stamping – just a fancy way to say stamp and stamp a second time prior to reinking. In similar fashion, the flowers are stamped with Calypso Coral Ink & then stamped again before reinking.

The Very Vanilla Cardstock with the flower image is banner cut and popped up for added dimension. The base of the card is embossed with the Large Polks Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I chose to use the recessed dots facing the front so I could dress up some of the dots with circles punched from the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack using the 3/4" Circle Punch.

A piece of Thick Calypso Coral Baker's Twine is wound around the left side of my card and finished with a bow. The sentiment from the stamp set Wild About Flowers was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink across the base of the flower stems before the banner was popped up on the card base.
Finally, the envelope flap is covered with another pattern of paper from the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack.

Apr 22, 2016 | Birthday, Celebrate, Friend, Generic, Get Well, Hello, Sneak Peek |
While I am waiting for my luscious new goodies from my catalog preorder to arrive, I thought I would use one of my favorite dsp papers - Birthday Bouquet to create another sneak peek for you.

The soft colors in the dap pair nicely with my Blushing Bride Sentiment found in Scenic Sayings. After cutting a circle of the dsp, using a Circle Framelit, I popped the sentiment on top with Stampin' Dimensionals.

A Mint Macaron card base provides a nice frame for my Whisper White background piece. Using a Gorgeous Grunge stamp, I stamped off Blushing Bride Ink in order to add some texture. Some additional interest is added to the left edge of the art piece with a stamp from The Tin of Cards using Blushing Bride Ink.

The banner piece is created with Tip Top Taupe and layered with a banner created with a dsp pattern found in the Birthday Bouquet dsp. The final touch is a double bow made with Whisper White Baker's Twine.
My preorder is scheduled to arrive tonight. When I get home from my Stamp Club you know what I will be doing! Stay tuned for more sneak peeks! Of course, if you prefer, I can create with products that are retiring. Please leave me a comment to let me know what you would prefer.
