Springtime brings warmer weather, flowers, and butterflies – usually. Gosh, I am so ready for it. But, it may be awhile before we see Spring in Montana. After looking out my window to see 6 inches of fresh new snow, I am more than ready for Spring to arrive. So, my card for the PPA challenge is totally about Spring!
The "girl" silhouette peeks through the oval shaped opening created with the Oval Framelits. The contrast is a fun change, don't you think? Popping up the umbrella that I snipped out adds some dimenion too. And, I just couldn't resist imitating raindrops with the rhinestone jewels. The Summer Smooches dsp is so bright and colorful that it just called for some butterflies created by the Bitty Butterfly Punch.
Wowzers! I was not sure that I would be able to post to my blog for the rest of this week. Talk about a panic attack! Yikes! My computer died – it is in the "computer hospital" as we speak. Are any of you so dependent on your computer? All my contact information, all my pictures, etc. are on my computer. Consequently, I did not have access to the file that contains the pictures of my cards that are to be posted to my blog. Thankfully, I have not deleted the pictures from my phone yet. Okay, enough about my computer. Let's talk about the card for today.
My daughter and Son-in-law recently celebrated their anniversary and this is the card I made them. I was feeling a bit sentimental when I chose the color palette. And, I know that the color choice will not be lost on them. These were the colors of their wedding. Knowing that Beth likes simple elegance, I tried to convey that in this card.
Because I am hand delivering this card, Beth & Jason have not seen it yet. Let's hope that Beth doesn't check my blog until tomorrow!
Usually I am not a pink kind of gal, but yesterday and today I felt the need for pink. Go figure!
Sometimes I just like the look of lots of white space. After finishing my card and the one from yesterday, I must have gotten the Clean & Simple bug out of my system because I went crazy with color on the cards I created next. Be sure to check my blog every day this week to see the variety.
Okay, on to the details for today's card. How many punches do you think I used? ……. Count them up and leave a guess in the comments at the end of my post. No fair looking at the supply list first! Oh, Maybe I should wait to post the supplies I used until you have had a chance to post your guess.
Okay, I hear you. I will post the supplies list if you promise to leave a guess. Is it a deal?
