After a long winter, followed by a miniscule spring, we finally jumped into summer. When I think of summer, visions of popsicles, icees, lemonade etc. pop into my head. Bet you can guess what In-Color I used on my card today. If you guessed Strawberry Slush, then you should hear the applause!

It's a bright & cheerful card! And, there is certainly not a shortage of heaxagons on it. The Honeycomg Embossing Folder provides an appropriate backdrop for the hexagons.

The arrow from the Hung Up Cute Clips reinforces the arrow pattern created with the punched out heagons.

Hi Folks! This card was the first one that I made for the PPA challenge earlier this week. Then my brain decided to try something different.

This is a simple card but it is just the ticket when you need a card quickly. The Fancy Fan Embossing Folder dresses up any background. And, the touch of the Polka Dot Embossing Folder that is visible on the Primrose Petals cardstock layer adds a bit more texture to my card.

Field Flowers provides a nice size image for the front of the card. The flower is inked in Primrose Petals and the stem is inked in Gumball Green. I do wish that I had left more of a border at the top of the card. I trimmed it a little closer than I meant to.
A piece of 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon adds the finishing touch. The sentiment – from Remembering Your Birthday is inked in Primrose Petals.

My submission for the PPA Color Challenge is unuaual for me. I think it is a bit more artistic than I usually create as a result of the double stamping with different inks on Gumball Green cardstock.

Although I had an idea for this card, I did not intend to use so much Gumball Green. However, introducing more Primrose Petals seemed to dull the Sunflower. So, I stamped a bit of the Sunflower in primrose Petals on the inside of the card.

I liked that addition of color.

Do you find it easier to create from a sketch or a color challenge? A sketch seems better for me because it gives me more direction. However, a color challenge is probably better for me because it stretches my creativity.
