A Ginger Snap! Hello Lovely!

My internet was down for 2 days!  My gosh I didn't realize how dependent I have become on it.  I was experiencing severe withdrawl!  First thing I thought of when it was back up, was getting my blog post done.  Murphy's Law –  of course, it goes down when I have lots of cards waiting to share with you.  So, unless I have more internet issues, you should see daily posts from me for awhile.

The card I am sharing today is a thank you card.

Because I was mailing this card, I wanted to keep it simple – no bulk.  The Hello Lovely stamp set  from Stampin' Up! provided the ideal image.  Paired with Gingham Garden designer paper, it makes for a quick and easy card.

My new best friend is the Circles Collection Framelits.  They make it so easy to find the perfect size circle for the image and a mat. Loving them!!!!

A Gingr Snap! A Convention Take -N-Make!

Convention is always packed with people, fun, and lots of things to occupy our time.  Consequently, I have started taking my make-n-takes home to do in the less pressure packed calm of my home.  I will be sharing these throughout the next couple of weeks.  Here's the first card.

Gorgeous Grunge is a great stamp set to use for background noise.  The make-n-take card illustrates some of the fun things you ca do with it.,  Not only does it have splatters, but the horizontal lines add a different texture to the card.

The Silver Glimmer Paper is something that I want to start using more often.  I liked the way the concept artisist added it to this card.   The small arrow was inked in old olive, fussy cut and popped up with dimensionals.  It is from the Hello Lovely stamp set.

White Baker's Twine was inked with Coastal Cabana Ink.  Just lay the twine on the ink pad and push on it with a Stamping Sponge.  The color contrasts nicely with the Very Vintage Designer Button.  Isn't the touch of Washi Tape a fun addition?

A Ginger Snap! Pals Paper Arts Challenge!

Dahlia rt

My post today is for the Sketch Challenge from the Pals Paper Arts (PPA 165).  Thanks to the uber talented Nicole Watt for the sketch.

When I saw the big circle in the sketch, I knew immediately that I would use the stamp set Regarding Dahlias.  I think I have mentioned once or twice, or maybe a 100 times that I really like this stamp set!  As long as I was using a favorite stamp, I decided to pair it with my favorite designer paper – Mixed Medley.

After stamping the image twice on Very Vanilla Cardstock with Black Staz On Ink, I fussy cut the center of the flower from one image.  If you look closely, you can see that it is popped up on the first dahlia image.  A blender pen used with Daffodil Ink gives the flower a touch of color.

The Circles Collection Framelits made it so easy to cut out the Dahlia image and the black mat.  If you don't have them, consider getting them.  What an awesome tool!
