I like the rainbow of color that forms the background for my card. It was created with Reinkers, Aqua Painter, & Watercolor Paper. First, wet the paper with water from the Aqua Painter. Make sure your painter is clean prior to wetting your paper. Put a few drops of reinker on the the lid of an empty embellishment container or any other plastic lid. Dip the aqua painter in the reinker. Spread the color on your paper. Repeat with each of the reinker colors that you have selected, but be sure to blend the edges of the colors together.
Let this thoroughly dry before stamping the image from Serene Silhouettes in Black Staz On Ink. I stamped the sentiment from Label Love and punched it out with the Artisan Label Punch. Don't you love it when there is a puch that matches a stamp set? It makes it so easy to create without having to cut evrything out.
I matted the watercolor paper on a piece of Garden Green c.s. Stampin' Dimensionals were used to pop this piece up on the Crisp Cantaloupe card base.

Gosh, I have missed all of my blog friends this past week. My house has been crazy with 8 extra people staying here for a celebration. It was great fun but now it is time to get back to our normal lives.
Previously I showed you the spinner soccer birthday card that I made for my Grandson. Take a look at the party favor boxes that I also created for his party.
Although I used a die for the box that has been discontinued, you could make a box using the Simply Scor It from Stampin' Up! These boxes were decorated with soccer balls, but they could be decorated for any theme. The litlle "score" flags came from the Dollar Tree. Finding them was serendipitous. Honestly, I thought that I would have to make them.
Filling them with treats was sure fun. And, the kids liked them so it was worth the effort!

I really like the colors in the PPA Challenge today.
PPA167 – August 8, 2013
They make me happy. And, I hope that translates to my card. Some people would say that my card is sweet. Possibly so. All I know is that it makes me smile.
I am picking up from when I first started writing this post several days ago. Fast forward – it is now midnight and this will post in just a few hours. After traveling 350 miles for the birthday party that I mentioned in my post yesterday, we are finally home. It took longer than we anticipated because we had a car sick child. And, those of you who have dealt with carsickness will understand when I say that we had to get laundry going before we could think of anything else. Of course, the car seat had to be thoroughly cleaned too.
So, now I am trying to finish my post. Please excuse any errors that might be in my post today. And, if you have any questions about my card, don't hesitate to send me an email. I promose to respond.
