When I first saw the stamp set Walk in the Wild in the Stampin' Up! 2013-2014 Annual Catalog, I knew that I wanted to make a Pop 'n Cuts Card using the Moose image for my pop up. At Convention, I was giddy with excitement when I saw just the card that I had envisioned. And, guess who was showing it? None other than the founder of Stampin' Up! – Shelly Gardner! So, what I am sharing with you today, is a case of the card she shared with us.
Creating this card for my husband's birthday was so appropriate. He loves the outdoors and wildlife – perfect for him! The Pop 'n Cuts Card Base with the Label Pop 'n Cuts insert was cut from Natural Composition Speciality DSP. In order to cover the "hole" in the card base, I cut another card base (without the insert) from Early Espresso cardstock. The top and bottom of this piece were both trimmed & it is narrower than the original base. Notice that this piece of cardstock is on the outside of the card rather than the inside. Oh, almost forgot to mention that I rounded the corners too.
In order to create the foliage behind the moose, I used my paper snips to cut narrow strips of Crumb Cake cardstock. After laying the strips close together in a row, I added a few strips of Sticky Tape to the upper back of the stamped moose piece. Then I removed the red liner from the tape and placed the image down on the strips of cardstock. Honestly, I wasn't sure how that would work, but it turned out to be easier than I expected.

Opening the card so that the inside was flat and using the Stamp-a-ma-jig for placement, I inked the trees from Lovely as a Tree in Soft Suede then rolled the edge of the stamp in Early Espresso ink. Next, I adhered the stamped moose that had been cut out with the Deco Label Framelits to the pop up part of the card.
The same tree stamp from Lovely as a Tree was used for the front of the card, but this time I stamped it in Always Artichoke Ink and then cut out the image with the Deco Label framelits. Wrapping some some Linen Thread around the base gives it an anchor. For dimension, this was popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals on a piece of Naturals Ivory c.s. cut from the next size up Deco Label Framelit.
If I had to pick my most used stamp set, I think Lovely as a Tree would be at the top of the list. It is just so versatile. I have used it for birthday cards, sympathy cards, thank you cards, thinking of you cards …. Mine set is old but still good as new.

The sentiment on the inside of the card is from Bring On the Cake. After flagging the ends, I wrapped some linen thread around the end to match the outside of the card. This was then layered on Natural Composition Specialty DSP and Early Espresso cardstock.
I would appreciate it if you left me a comment about my card today. I do read each and every comment and I really appreciate the time that you take to lave them.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Ginger

I mentioned that I would share where I got the inspiration for my Anniversary card posted Saturday. At Convention, I saw a card that was awesome. When I got home, I tried recreating it. And, I think I was successful. Unfortunately, I do not know who to credit for this card. If you are the artist, please let me know so I can give you credit.

In case you would like to recreate this card, I will share the measurements.
- Baked Brown Sugar Card Base: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (fold in half)
- Whisper White Mat: 5-1/4" x 4"
- In Color c.s. Strips – Strawberry Slush 7/8" x 4-3/4", Crisp Cantaloupe 7/8" x 4-1/4", Coastal Cabana 7/8" x 3-1/2", Pistachio Pudding 7/8" x 2-3/4"

The bottom of each strip was punched with the Bitty Butterfly Punch.
Emboss each c.s strip with a different Embossing Folder of your choice.
With tone on tone ink, Stamp a small image from Papillion Potpourri on scrap pieces of the In Color c.s. used for the strips. Punch them out with the Bitty Butterfly Punch. I attached these to my card before I stamped the sentiment so I could be sure that it would fit.
The sentiment is from Petite Pairs and is stamped in Baked Brown Sugar. The small flower was punched with the flower from the Punch Pack and is adorned with a Rhinestone.

My card today is for someone very special. I wanted it to be simple, yet have some charm too. You know what I mean? After all, it is a Memorable Moment! Being married 43 years is an accomplishment and my card needed to reflect that.

The new In Colors from Stampin' Up! are so delicious that I felt they were perfect for what I needed – a splash of color but not overdone. My banners were made with 4 different c.s. colors & they were embossed with 4 different folders.

The Memorable Moments Stamp Set couldn't have been any better. If you want to use a number on a card, then this is the perfect set. You can combine the numbers and the sentiments in order to customize your message.

The Labels Collection Framelits were the ticket for cutting out my sentiment and for cutting a Coastal Cabana c.s. mat. I like the effect that the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder produced on my mat. The addition of the Crisp Cantaloupe Bitty Butterfly draws the eye to the sentiment. And a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels, adds a touch of bling.
Tomorrow I will share the inspiration for this card.
