Happy Thanksgiving my wonderful Blog Readers! May you day be filled with love, family and friends! Today is the PPA sketch challenge by the talented Nicole Watt.

What a fun sketch! This is one that I will be using agan. Using the Joyful Christmas, created a larger image than I anticipated so I had to take a few liberties with the sketch.

Embossing on vellum produces such an elegant image and that is exactly the look I wanted for my PPA card. After stamping the image with Gold Metallic Encore, I embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. The color comes because I turned the image over and colored the back of the vellum with both my Cherry Cobbler & Old Olive Markers. The nice thing is that you do not have to be at all careful when you are coloring because the embossing only allows the color to show that should.

The Whisper White Background is embossed with the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder. Arrows created from the Gold Foil Sheets are the perfect way to tie in with the Gold Embossing and the Dotted Background paper.

After stamping 3 images, I fussy cut so that I could layer them with dimensionals after curling them by rolling them on my pencil. From this view, you can definitely see the dimension. This card just seemed to be begging for some pearls. So, I happily obliged by using the rule of 3's.

The inside of my card also has a bit of decoration. The sentiment from Joyful Christmas adds a nice message.

As the Holiday draws closer, I have been reflecting on my "thankful" list. For me, it's the little things. Receiving pictures of my Grandchildren doing what they do has to be near the top of the list. And, today I have one of those pictures to share.

This is my sweet Grandaughter Katie with the turkey that she created using her Mom's Stampin' Up! supplies. She watched her Mom creating a fall wreath with rosettes. Like any good crafter, Katie's mind was thinking about what she could do with one of those rosettes. After convincing her Mom to give up one of her rosettes, Katie used it to create this adorable turkey. Katie spied the Sweater Weather dsp and used it along with her Mother's fingers to create the turkey feathers. She said that her fingers weren't long enough!
Here's a close up of Katie's turkey.

With only a little help from Beth with some of the fussy cutting , Katie completed her vision of the Turkey Treasure! I think Katie definitely has a future as a papercrafter! What do you think?
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Be sure to check back tomorrow to see another creation.
Hugs,
