A Ginger Snap! A Masculine Ombre Card!

As you know, I am having a ton of fun creating with the soon to be released Work of Art stamp set from Stampin' Up!  This time I used a different image from the set.

My ink choices were Soft Sky, Marina Mist, Island Indigo and Night of Navy.  Each image was stamped twice from the same ink pad.  As you can see, each row is stamped slightly to the right of the previous row.

The star was punched from cardstock that was the same shades as the ink using the retired Merry Minis Punch Pack.  I felt that the sentiment from Make a Wish has a definite masculine feel to it.  After stamping it in Night of Navy Ink, I used a Chalk Talk Framelit to cut it out. Island Indigo Baker's Twine is used to anchor the sentiment.  The addition of a few rhinestones finishes my card.

This card was created using a mixture of soon to be retired and soon to be released stamps.  Did I mention how easy it is to create cards quickly with the new Work of Art stamp set.  It is definitely a must have set, in my opinion!

A Ginger Snap! Too Kind!

I am a bit late posting today but my card is very heartfelt for a friend that received some devastating news.  It is clean & simple which is just exactly what I wanted for this card.

This set is called Too Kind. It is a two-step stamp.  I like the look of the lighter flower topped with the darker image.  The way this set works it is very easy to stamp without a stamp=a=ma-jig because there is plenty of leeway to place the image.

Sorry for the shadows on my picture.  It is a cloudy morning so I don't have tha nicest ambience for a picture.  Notice that my imsge is stamped on a layer of Whisper White that is slightly smaller than my card base.  This layer is popped up with dimensionals.

A Ginger Snap! A Sneak Peek!

It is way past my bedtime but I wanted to share a peek of a new stamp set with you.  This set is called a Work of Art and I know that it will be one that Iuse often.  As the name implies, it contains images that really do remind me of art.  I used a watercolr swoosh, zig zag and a sentiment from the set on this card.

Stampin' Up! has done an outstanding job on the new catalog.  I can hardly wait for you to see it and to hear what you think about it.  The emphasis in this catalog is on quick and easy .  That means the opportunity for clean and simple cards.  And, are they ever on trend!  I am busting to tell you more!

As you can see, this was a quick card.  But, I will take a bit more time tomorrow to create some more cards using other images from this set.
