It's good to be back and posting after several days of traveling for doctor appointments for my husband. I am delighted to tell you that all is well and he is doing well
Although we had quite a nice day here in Montana, I decided to create a Christmas card..

Christmas Bauble, a single wood stamp was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. Color was added with Blendabilities and it was fussy cut so it could be popped up with dimensionals.

My card base is Lost Lagoon with a Pear Pizazz layer. This is topped with a delicious piece of Designer Paper from All Is Calm Specialty Designer Series Paper. I love this paper!! My ornament is popped up in the right corner of my card base.

This is a close up of the ornamnet. I am considering placing a roll of Rhinestones or Pearls across the top & bottom decorative strip and one in the middle of the design. What do you think? Please leave a comment to tell me what your prefence would be.
a) Plain
b) Pearls
c) Rhinestones

I have been busy creating items for my Fall Stamping/Scrapbooking Retreat that is scheduled for early October. With the start of school, I thought this was a novel & fun idea for a hard working teacher.

I saw this idea on the Country Living website and just had to try it. As a former teacher, I know how nice this would be to receive. Seems like I was always loaning pencils to students.
Start with a clean pint-sized canning jar. Using red spray paint, cover the jar. I used 2 coats. After the jar gas has ample time to dry completely, wrap Linen Thread several times around the jar. Knot the Linen Thread.
Using Oval Punches, I created several leaves with Garden Green Cardstock and punched near the top of each leaf with my 1/16" Circle Punch. Thread the ends of the Linen Thread through the hole and tie a knot. I filled my jar with 3 packages of pencils.
What do you think is a fair price to charge for these?

For most of us, the start of school is near or has already happened. In my famuly, we have a preschooler, a kindergartner, and 2 second graders. And, 3 of the 4 ride a bus to school. This Grandma wanted to acknowledge this milestone with a card of course!

Although I created 4 cards, one for each of the kids, I am only showing 2 because they are all basically the same. I started with a Whisper White Notecard.
The names were created using the Little Letters Thinlits & Basic Black Cardstock. It's the first time that I have used the letters and what a surprise. They are so easy to work with and they produce a nice size letter.

After scouring the Stampin' Up! catalog for a school bus, I came across a way to create one using the photopolymer What's Your Type stamp set. Lining up photopolymer stamps is so easy! Thanks to Theartfulinker.com for the idea. Of course, I had to add my own touches too.
My road was created with the ever so useful stamp set - Gorgeous Grunge. It was an afterthought so it was stamped after the bus was in place on my card. But, it worked just fine – whew!
The wheels on the bus go round and round with Regals Candy Dots in the center.

The envelope gets some special attention from the Envelope Liners Framelits & piece of Crushed Curry paper from the Regals Designer Paper Stack. If I just knew how to draw, my bus could be filled with children.
