I have been busy creating items for my Fall Stamping/Scrapbooking Retreat that is scheduled for early October. With the start of school, I thought this was a novel & fun idea for a hard working teacher.
I saw this idea on the Country Living website and just had to try it. As a former teacher, I know how nice this would be to receive. Seems like I was always loaning pencils to students.
Start with a clean pint-sized canning jar. Using red spray paint, cover the jar. I used 2 coats. After the jar gas has ample time to dry completely, wrap Linen Thread several times around the jar. Knot the Linen Thread.
Using Oval Punches, I created several leaves with Garden Green Cardstock and punched near the top of each leaf with my 1/16" Circle Punch. Thread the ends of the Linen Thread through the hole and tie a knot. I filled my jar with 3 packages of pencils.
What do you think is a fair price to charge for these?
Thanks for stopping by my blog today.
Hugs,
Ginger
STAMPIN' UP! SUPPLIES USED:
I love this jar! Great idea and quite functional!
Very interesting indeed. I think anyone, teachers included would like to have such a nice gift to start the school year with. Nice job.
