When I first spotted the Snowflake Card Thinlits Die in the 2014 – 2015 Holiday Catalog the sun was shining bright and it was difficult to imagine snow. Although the days are still nice, the evenings are actually getting chilly. So, now I can think about snowflakes.

The die contains lots of fun pieces – 3 words, a tree, a heart, 2 snowflakes, & a banner. I chose to use the "brr" and a couple of the snowflakes on my card. In addition, the Letterpress Winter stamp set matches the die too so I stamped one of the snowflakes on the die cut snowflake.

I just couldn't resist this darling sentiment from the Project Life Holiday Cheer. The right edge of my card is decorated with a few strips of Washi Tape from the All IsCalm Designer Washi Tape. A small strip of matching paper from the All Is Calm Specialty Designer Paper is punched with the Scallop Border Punch for the final touch.

The Snowflake Card Thinlits Die is a lot of fun to play with. Can you imagine some Christmas cards done with this die and the little tree that is included in the set. Take a look below at what comes in the set.

Sep 23, 2014 | Get Well, Thinking of You |
Yesterday as you know, I was struggling trying to make a feel better card for my daughter-in-law who had to have surgery as a result of being hit in her face by a softaball. During the night, it occurred to me to use the You're Wonderful Photopolymer Stamp Set.

Although it is a simple card, it is exactly what I wanted for Jamie. I think that you will be surprised when I share with you what paper pack the background paper is from. Can you guess?
If you guessed Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper then you are correct. I am really liking this paper and as you can see, it is not just for halloween.

I stamped several of the images from the set with Memento Black Ink and then colored them with various Blendabilities. Some flowers have just a bit of color while others are fully colored. A few additional flowers were punched from Pool Party cardstock with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. These were attached to the card with Glue Dots.

An assortement of Basic Rhinestone Jewels adds the finishing touch to my flowers. My sentiment is from the set Four You. I felt that "thinking of you" was more appropriate than a get well meassage. What do you think?

Although I have been gone for a few days, my abscence was not for anything remotely fun. My dear daughter-in-law Jamie had an accident – she was hit in the face with a softball. The injury required unexpected surgery. The good news is that she is back home and although very sore, she is making progress.
My husband and I were called into service for a few days and we just returned home. My intention was to create a card for Jamie but try as I might, my MOJO got left somewhere on the trip between cities. However, I did start a card before we unexpecledly left so I completed it for my post today.

This is a case of a card created by Janet Holmes. I changed a few things but the idea is hers. Don't you just love velluum ghosts? That is what is in the "ghost cutout".

The Fun Fall Framelit Dies contain the sweet ghost used on my card. The eyes were stamped with images from Freaky Friends. The Ghost dsp is from the Motley Monsters DSP.
The cute bow was tied with the White & Tangerine Tango Two-Tone Trim. I used it to tie in the striped dsp used on the edges of my card. Would you believe that it is from the Flowerpot dsp found in the annual catalog.
My intention tomorrow is to get a card made for Jamie. Please stop back to see what develops – hopefully my MOJO will make it back to my house!.
