My good friend and fellow Pal Dawn Tidd provides a fun sketch for the PPA challenge this week. Here is my card & then the sketch.
Grab some supplies and consider joining us at the Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge this week.
My card today is super simple and so easy to duplicate. I wish you could have seen the tiny space I had to create my card. If you have been following my blog, then you know that I had a stamping/scrapbooking Retreat from last Thursday thru Sunday.
After it was over, I packed everything up – it took 2 cars & a truck to haul it all back to my home! And, I bet you can guess where it sits – if you guessed my kitchen, then you are exactly right! And, that is where I create.
Although I have made some good progress toward getting it all put away, I swear that the boxes multiply!! Wish I took pictures for you so you could see the chaos!.
Ginger's Snaps:
- Ink the Happy Ornament stamp set with Staz On Black Ink. Stamp on a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Thick Whisper White Card Stock.
- Use an Aqua Painter & Emerald Envy Ink to add a wash of color to the ornament. Use Cherry Cobbler & Crushed Curry Inks to color the ornament topper & bow.
- Adhere Presents & Pinecones Designer Washi Tape to the card.
- Tie a bow around the top of the card with Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Be sure to stop back tomorrow to check out some of the display samples from Retreat.
Hugs,
Ginger
Stampin' Up! Supplies Used:
A very upbeat greeting that fits the sketch perfectly. Like your colors and the choice of stamp set, lovely my dear, simply lovely!
This card made heart sing! It is such a happy card. Love he the design, colors and stamp. Great job making the most of the space you have after such a busy time getting ready for retreat and after retreat. I enjoyed creating with the cookie cutter stamp set & plan to do more on National Card Making Day!
Your ornament is so bright and pretty! And that washi tape is adorable across the bottom!
Love everything about your card! Love your coloring you are a master! Fun time at retreat & the food was outstanding!
Love that big ‘ole water colored ornament, Ginger, it’s beautiful. I don’t remember seeing it…will have to check it out! The washi tape is a great touch with it so it’s still the star of the show!
I think this is the first card I have seen using this stamp. Well done and well colored! I love the Washi tape little bows across the bottom. That is such a fun treat as the little bows goes with the one on the ornament and your baker’s twine. Looks like the retreat was a success!
Adorable use of this ornament stamp! Love the added touches too.
Out of chaos, a great card emerges! Thank you for sharing, Ginger!
