Twinkle Trees is such a fun stamp set that I knew that I wanted to see what I could create with it.
This is a simple card but it still has some wow. I used the "bokah" stamps (circle stamps) from the stamp set to stamp on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock with Daffodil Delight, Old Olive & Tangerine Tango Inks. However, I stamped off every time in order to create the mystical look.
After stamping the circles, I stamped the tree image over the top with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I fussy cut the tree and adhered it to my card base which was embossed with the Woodlands Texture Impressions Embossing Folder.
Using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, I cut "sunshine" out of both Daffodil delight & Tangerine Tango Cardstock. After cutting each sentiment in half, I layered one half behind the other to create some dimension & some interest.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Please remember that if you have any questions about my card, I am only an email away & I really love to chat with my blog readers.
Hugs,
Ginger
Stampin' Up! Supplies Used:
Very interesting tree. The method you used to obtain this tree is quite interesting, it looks like stained glass. Quite intriguing.
I do like this stamp set and love how you did the tree. The stamp could be used for any card plus a Christmas card. Good job, Sunshine
This is a very different card, maybe that’s why I like it! I really liked the colors you used & loved the stamp too. It does look like stain glass!
Interesting. Is this set from the new catalog, I don’t remember it from the catalog. I love the Bokah style of tree. I have only done that as a background but this really cool as a tree changing colors. The embossing folder is a favorite and I don’t know if I ever bought it. I know it was discontinued – I need to check through my piles. I like the two toned sunshine but maybe it is too big on there – hard to tell from my screen. Maybe three trees with one popped up? I think they are pretty cool and too bad there is not two sizes of that one. I like the little mug in the set too and the little stamps. I want to see more of this set and what it can do!
This set is in the new catalog Chris on page 28. Good news Chris, the embossing folder is in the annual catalog. It was so popular that they brought it back so there is time for you to pick it up. I thought about changing the orientation of my card which would have accommodated the sunshine better. I have more plans for this set so stay tuned!
