Windy Ellard over at the PPA designated a fun and crisp color challenge for us this week.
Here is my card and a link to see the other cards for this challenge. PPA 305
This is a slider card which means that my shooting stars slide along the groove creating some entertaining movement. It is so easy to create with the Shooting Star Stamp Set & Sliding Star Framelits from Stampin' Up! The good news is that you can purchase them as a bundle and save 10%. In addition to a slider card, this set can create a spinner card too. Be sure to come back tomorrow to see one live.
Ginger's Snaps:
- Whisper White Cardstock 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored at 4-1/4"
- Pool Party Mat 4" x 5-1/4"
- Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper 3-3/4" x 5" adhere to the Pool Party Mat.
- Use a Shooting Star Framelit to cut the track for the slider.
- Add Foam Adhesive Strips to the back of this layer.

Nice card! This card is perfect’ Love the slider cards. The sisters Margie & Rosemary
Oooh this is fabulous. I like the whole look of it. Perfect DAP pick for this card.
What a great slider card and perfect with these colors!
This paper was made for the challenge colors as well as for this slider/spinner card! I love the paper and it is perfect! I have made a few spinner cards esp. when we had the small pinwheel die. I loved them but some didn’t spin so well because of using the punch to make the track. I think it was the word window punch. The pennies made it heavy where the washers might be lighter to mail too. The video was good for that tip as well as rounding the points of the dimensionals. I think that might help too. For a slider card I can see a little truck or car. Making the track look like a frown makes it a slider more easily. I wonder if you could make a little hill out of it and make it look good? Ummm, something to ponder. The banner is perfect though is that a smiley face on the third sequin thingy? I wonder if the stars from the Manly Paper Pumpkin kit would look good on this paper? This is a great card, just so much fun!
Ginger, you make this look so easy! To me it just seemed complicated 🙂 Beautiful card! Thanks for joining us this week at PPA!!
Thanks Chris! When I was trying to decide what paper to use for my card I immediately thought of the Scenery Stack. The new think its sure help making slider/spinner cards. As for the manly kit, I would have to check if they would work but my guess is yes. The hill with a car is a fun idea too. I will be posting a spinner card in a few days. I made it for my Grandson.
Getting ready for our trip. Ironing clothes today and making lists. So much to do to get ready. My leg is really bothering me too so I am trying to work on it.
Hope all is well with you!

Such a clever card! I like your choice of sky-paper in the background and all the ways you’ve repeated the use of stars.
This is wonderful!! Such a fun card, Ginger!
