My card for today is showcasing Love & Affection again. But tomorrow I will move on to some more new product!
My card base is Mint Macaron Card Stock which is embossed with the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I like the look of flowers cascading down a wall.
Using the Masking Technique, I stamped various flowers & leaves from the Love & Affection Stamp Set with Archival Black Ink on Shimmery White Cardstock. The centers of the flowers were stamped with Rich Razzleberry Ink & Heat Embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. I did this so that when I watercolored the flowers, the centers wouldn't run.
These images were then Watercolored with an Aqua Painter , Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach& Sweet Sugarplum Ink. The leaves were all stamped with Mint Macaron Ink. I fussy cut the cascading flowers so more of the brick wall would be visible on my card.
I just could not resist placing a pearl in the center of each flower. The only thing that varied was the size of the Pearl. The sentiment, also from this stamp set, was inked with Archival Black Ink & stamped on Shimmery White Cardstock in order to match the flower piece.
Oops, after previewing my post, I see that I missed putting a pearl on one flower. Can't wait to go fix it!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Hugs,
Ginger
Love yesterday’s and today’s post. This is my favorite suite in the new catalog and I am totally obsessed with the brick wall embossing folder!
I, like you enjoy cascading flowers. I like how the flowers are cut away on the right side of the card.
I like how you laid the flowers out. To me that is an important talent. The coloring is fantastic. Another fabulous card.
All in all your on a roll for beautiful cards.
Wow, Ging, another great card! I love the brick wall embossing folder. The way you do the flowers is very interesting! How you did the white card stock on the left side and for the sentiment was creative. Good job!
I agree with Barb’s comment and couldn’t have said it better! My dear you are on a roll with great cards! I love the brick texture and with the mint macaron my mom would have loved that. She loved all colors green. The flowers are gorgeous and I missed the flower without the center at first glance but then I saw it and then read it! Hey, stuff happens! Cutting out the flowers on the right side just really makes it all the more fun. So pretty. Love it!
