Today I am using the stamp set called Scenic Sayings that I won with a Prize Patrol at On Stage Live. As the name implies, it is a variety of sentiments.
The sentiment takes up a lot of real estate so I went pretty basic with this card. Quarter inch wide Strips of Basic Black from the Neutrals designer Series Paper Stack adorn each side of my card.
The stamp Watercolor Wash inked with Daffodil delight Ink supplies a nice background for the graphic sentiment which is stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black Ink, I like a yellow/black combination. For added color, some Daffodil Delight Candy Dots are randomly spaced around my card..
The final detail is a double loop bow made with Basic Black Baker's Twine. If you look closely, you can see the Staple in the middle of the bow. This is a quick & easy card but because the sentiment is big & bold, it doesn't require much else.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Please stop back tomorrow to see another card made with this stamp set.
Hugs,
Ginger
Great card, Ginger. I love this sentiment – so fun to put it against this watercolor background stamp. 🙂
Oh wow, another great card! Plus, you won it in the Prize Patrol! I love this for every little detail except maybe the staple – I just have a problem with staples on a card. Maybe because I used the stapler so much in my jobs my whole life and pulling staples. Anyway, I thought maybe the “wash” stamp came with it and here it is an old stamp. Love the look. Black and yellow is a favorite combination of mine. What crispness those side panels have to add to the charm! Then, those beloved candy dots I love to hoard! I like them so much more than sequins. What more is there to add to this little jazzy number, other than I LOVE IT! It will be fun to see what else is in this set – this stamp is a keeper! So much fun to win a prize that you actually like and will use!
Wow, another great card that makes my heart sing!
