It's time again to play with the PPA. This week is a fun color challenge that is just perfect for the fall season.
And here are the colors for this challenge.
Although the stamp set Serene Silhouettes has been around for awhile, it is still one of my favorites and I thought it would fit perfectly for this challenge. Using the Stampin' Write Markers in the colors of the challenge enabled me to get the variety of color.
In addition, I used the splatter from Gorgeous Grunge but I stamped off the Soft Suede Ink in order to provide some background noise without having it take over my card.
The sentiment from One Big Meaning is inked with Soft Suede Ink and stamped over the bottom of the image from Serene Silhouettes. This piece is cut with the largest frame lit from Lots of Labels Framelits.
A strip of Hello Honey Washi Tape from the 2014 – 2016 In Color Designer Washi Tape adds some visual interest to the bottom of my card. This is topped with a length of Old Olive Baker's Twine.
Join the fun by trying your hand at this PPA challenge!
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
Hugs,
Ginger
I like this card. You dealt with the colors in a positive way. My eye went to the piece of washi tape first, I wondered where it came from, now I know. I like the stamp set you picked. Very nice card.
Boy, I left you three comments on this post today and when I would get ready to hit the post or preview they would disappear! Urgh. Seems to be ok now. I loved the washi tape and the baker’s twine at the bottom – really draws your eye to the whole card! The colors made a great challenge and you rocked it. So soft and pretty. Love the framelit you used too as well as the EF! Great job as always!
Very nice Thanksgiving card! I like the earth tones and the washi tape really set it off.
Ginger, this is beautiful! You obtained an elegance that is so simple. Using the label really works!
