Unfortunately I needed a sympathy card in a hurry and I had already used my stash. This is a type of card that I definitely like to make ahead and have on hand.
For me, one of the most difficult parts of a sympathy card is knowing what to say. But, the stamp set Heartfelt Sympathy takes care of that for me. This set has some beautiful sentiments that say just the perfect thing.
The basic black card base is embossed with the Elegant Dots Textured Impressions Folder. A trio of banners flagged with the Banner Triple Punch add a touch of elegance to my card. The banners are cut from Gold Foil & Everyday Chic Designer Series Paper.
The main image is heat embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. An Ovals Collection Framelit was used to cut it out. It is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The inside of the card is stamped with another sentiment from the stamp set Heartfelt Sympathy. You might recognize the 3 pieces in the lower left corner. They are the remnants from punching with the Banner Triple Punch.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

STAMPIN' UP! SUPPLIES USED:
Ging- this is a beautiful card! You did a wonderful job making a card that one would want to keep!
I agree with Marjorie’s comment. The gold embossing lends a touch of elegance to the card also. Very nice. Another set I need to take another look at.
Very nice! It is difficult to know what kind of card to make for a sympathy card. You made a wonderful choice. I like everything about it and I’m headed to find my catalog to put it on my must order list.
Unfortunately, we need to keep these kinds of cards around. This one is beautiful and could be used in any situation.
