This is a simple card for a simple challenge. Once again it is time for a fun color challenge from the PPA (Pals Paper Arts). Here's the challenge.
Because the Fourth of July is past, I found this challenge a little difficult to wrap my head around until I totally changed my focus from a patriotic card to a more generic card.
I've been itching to use the new Writing Notes Stamp & this challenge gave me the perfect opportunity because I knew that I wanted a lot of "white space". Inking the stamp with Pacific Point Ink and stamping off once created just the shade of "blue" that I wanted for the lines of my paper.
With a birthday theme, I felt that the Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder gave my Pacific Point Cardstock layer just the punch it needed. And, it reinforces the stars on the front of my card from the Brights Sequin Assortment.
The large, dynamic sentiment from Watercolor Words is stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder. It makes my sentiment stand out & it satisfies the "silver" requirement for the challenge.
The sweet heart from Watercolor Words is stamped with Real Red Ink & it goes nicely with the Real Red Stars from the Brights Metallic Sequin Assortment.
The final touch is a strip of Silver Washi Tape from the Everyday Chic Designer Washi Tape which was used to attach the top layer to the rest of my card base.

STAMPIN' UP! SUPPLIES USED:
A bright and shiny birthday card! I love this. How did I miss or not remember that stamp for the lined paper – I would love that stamp! Lots of fun details from the heart dotting the “I” in birthday to the washi tape. The tape looks like the pad top where you rip the page out! This is really fun and adults would like it as well as kids most likely! Anyway, I love it!
I am with Chris! As I saw the card, I thought how did I not see the lined paper stamp!! This would be cool to send just a note of anything to a friend, family, co-workers!
Funny this is the stamp for today because I saw this just last night but I honestly thought it was an Emboss Folder. I saw this & thought I want that! But I really thought the lines were already on it so this may be tricky getting the lines on it but well worth the try! Love your card!
Very nicely put together. I like the colors, the silver embossed word, the sequins assortment. All of it comes together to make a very nice card that has a clean feel to it.
I love it! Especially the silver embossing!
Fantastic showcase of the colors and these two stamps. Hmmm… may have to include it on my wish list now. Thanks Ginger!
