Today I am wishing Happy Birthday to a dear friend. One of the cards she will be receiving is below.
It uses the new Cherry On Top Deisgner Series pear Stack along with the new coordinating Watermelon Wonder card stock. These are so bright and cheerful that they make fun birthday cards. And, I couldn't resist this laughable sentiment from the Photopolymer stamp set Just Kidding. The Whisper White standard sized base card is embossed with the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder. It does not show up well in the picture.
The sentiment is stamped with Island Indigo Ink & cut out with the soon to be retired Word Bubbles Framelits. I matted this on another design from the Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack & just trimmed it by hand leaving a thin border. If you look closely, you will see that I rounded 2 of the corners of both the Whisper White card stock & the Watermelon Wonder Mat.
The sentiment on the inside of the card is from Yippee – Skippee which is also retiring on June 2nd. The strip of paper on the inside matched the matt for the Word Bubble on the front of my card.
As you can see in the first picture, the flap of the envelope is also covered with matching paper from the Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Hugs,
Ginger

VERY NICE. Many eye was drawn to the matting around the saying on the front of the card. This card is bright and cheerful just like the recipient. She will love this card.
How fun! I have seen cards with the front sentiment on the inside but not the front like this. Oh how I wish! Love the new birthday balloon paper and the way you used only a portion of it. Of course it looks really festive on the envelope too! The green dotted piece on the inside is just as festive! Interesting and cool concept of rounding the two corners on both pieces – I really like it! Good job!
Well, I was too busy shopping around town with Ging to see this card yesterday! So, it is with delight I see it today! My sisters love this stamp for birthdays! So will yesterday’s special birthday person! I can picture her laughing with this card! Great job, Ginger. It is colorful, happy and imaginative.
