If you have arrived here from LaToya's blog, thanks for joining me! My card today is very easy yet it has a wow factor.
Working with the Butterfly Basics Bundle from Stampin' Up! made it so easy to create a stunning card with a lot of visual interest.
Ginger's Tips:
Ink the honeycomb image with Wisteria Wonder Ink and stamp off. Randomly Stamp the honeycomb 3 times on the front of your card.
After inking the large leaf with Wisteria Wonder Ink, I stamped off once and then stamped the image 3 times moving the stamp to either side of the darker image.
Ink the Postage Cancellation Stamp with Wisteria Wonder Ink & stamp off. I stamped the image in the upper right of my card but it can be stamped anywhere that suits you.
In addition, the striped border stamp was also inked in Wisteria Wonder Ink and stamped on the left edge of my card. (I did not stamp off)
Use the Butterfly Thinlits Die to cut the middle size butterfly from both Elegant Eggplant c.s. & Silver Foil. You may have seen on You Tube how to use a dryer sheet to get the butterfly to release easily from the die. It works!
My sandwich was as follows.
magnetic platform,
clear plate,
1 unfolded dryer sheet,
card stock,
wax paper,
my butterfly thinlit, and finally
a clear plate.
I ran this through my Big Shot 3 or 4 times and it worked like a charm! The butterfly came out easily without requiring me to do any poking. This technique will work with any of your delicate thinlits.
Punch a flower using a punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and Silver Glimmer paper. Attach it to the middle of the butterfly with a glue dot. For an added bit of bling, place a Rhinestone Basic Jewel in the middle.
While you are at it, sprinkle a couple more small rhinestones on your card. Remember the rule of 3 and remember to create an imaginary triangle with the placement of the jewels.
Finally, Happy Birthday is inked with Elegant Eggplant Ink and stamped full strength over the bottom of the leaf images.

Purplicious! This is so pretty. My high school colors are purple and gray and this would have been perfect for something related to the school as in a formal dance or something special. But, I don’t have to worry about that – not that I did then! Does the dryer sheets do the same as wax paper that I have heard some people use? This card would be so appropriate for a lot of events like a thank you or sympathy. It is so pretty and so elegant! What is that about a wing and a prayer? Anyway, you have outdone yourself on this one! Gorgeous!
I could not stop staring at your card. It is lovely. I love the colors, the simplicity of the white card, and the delicate wisteria. Love the pop of glitter that makes it so special. What can I say? Love it!
Ginger, I absolutely love the card you created. I haven’t used my stamp set as yet but I can’t wait to. This is gorgeous!!!
