Such a fun combo of colors this week – check them out!
Time to Celebrate is an adorable Hostess Stamp Set that can be found on page 51 of the Occasssions Catalog. It is one that I have been very anxious to ink up and this challenge provided just the right opportunity!
After photographing my card and sending it off to the blog master, I decided to use a sponge dauber to ink the edges of my card, including the flip flop circle, with Soft Suede Ink in order to add some dimension.
This picture is a bit dark but hopefully you can see the difference. Which do you prefer?
The cute & charming worm is stamped with Soft Suede Ink. A touch of color was added with the Crumb Cake Blendabilities. Because it is so close to Valentine's Day, I chose to use a Heart punched with the Owl Builder Punch rather than the flower. Rhinestone Jewels give a bit of sparkle to the eyes.
The left panel is decorated with a red dot pattern from the Brights DSP Stack. That panel is adorned with cutouts from the Circle Card Thinlit used with Whisper White Cardstock. They are pointing the way to the cheerful sentiment on the back of the circle. The panel on the right is sporting some Soft Suede dap from the Park Lane DSP pack.
The sentiment is from the stamp set of the same name - Snuggles & Smooches. It is a limited edition Photopolymer stamp set that will only be available for a short time. If you want this stamp set, be sure to order it before it disappears!
I stamped it on a circle of Whisper White c.s. using Real Red Ink. My circle is then mounted on a Soft Suede Scalloped Circle. The spine of my "flip flop card is decorated with Hearts punched with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.
Gosh, You're Adorable was just to perfect to pass up! Stamped with Real Red Ink on Whisper White c.s., it does it's job to point out how adorable that little worm is sitting up there on the flip flop circle!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Hugs,
Ginger
STAMPIN' UP! SUPPLIES USED:
I love this playful card! The snail cutout with the heart is adorable and the opposing side is awfully cute as well!
So cute! I just earned this set and can’t wait to ink it up. Thanks for another great idea!
Love the layout! Barb
Adorable and fun! You sponged the edges of the circle, right? That is what it looked like to me and I think it did add some depth. Otherwise, I need new glasses anyway! Are those little googly eyes I see? Love the hearts down the panel as well as attached to him! He doesn’t have arms or hands to hold it! Very cute!
Even today, I love this card!
Love the caterpillar holding the heart! So cute!
great and fun card! Love all your elements..esp. hearts inside!
Absolutely adorable, Ginger! Perfect details! I do think the sponging defines the edges a little bit better…but I also love the clean version equally as much. Great job with the challenge colors!
This is adorable, Ginger!
