I have been on the lookout for these adorable mailboxes at target. Because we don't have a Target, my opportunity to check is very limited. Fortunately, I happened upon them one day when we were traveling and although there were only a few mailboxes, I was able to get what I needed.
The Hey Valentine Stamp Set by Stampin' Up! is so cuuuuuute. This little pirate image with the treasure chest was the perfect mage for me to be able to slip in a coin. If you look closely, you will see a slit in the "coins" where I put in a dime. The dime is taped down on the backside of the card to insure that it isn't going anywhere.
My card size is 3" x 3" which means that it will fit inside my mailbox with the treat. Coloring with a variety of blendabilities puts the finishing touches on the pirate. Of course, I need a pirate and a mailbox that will work for my Granddaughter.
A pirate might not like the look, but I know that Katie will adore it. A cellophane bag filled with Valentine M & M's will surely bring a smie to her face. A tag from Chalk Talk is stamped with Pink Pirouette Ink & cut out with a matching Chalk Talk Framelit. A length of Whisper White Baker's Twine tied in a bow will keep my bag snug.
With 3 Grandsons, I needed more than just silver maiboxes. What could be better than red for Valentines Day!
I know that my Grandsons will enjoy these – especially the m & m's!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Hugs,
Ginger
Very cute…you could add some curls for the girl pirate. Your Markers or Blendabilities might just be the thing you need to do it. 🙂 These are just darling.
Hmmm, curls and eyelashes!!!!
I love the mailbox and the cards. Great idea!
A new talent? Presentation is every thing and you have it! I like the way you presented your valentines and they are as cute as can be. I like the idea of a pirate for valentines. Good job, well done.
Argh! No walking the plank for you! These will be a winner esp with the candy! You could always add some bling to her shoes or the hat too or how about the eye patch? Love the little dime in there. sort of ironic, I had a memory dream last night of the time my mom was a March of Dimes Block Captain when I was really little. We went door to door collecting dimes. My favorite part was putting the dimes in the slots!
