This is my card for the PALS Swap at Leadership 2015 in Orlando Florida. The theme is a birthday card of any type. So, I wanted a generic card that could be used for almost anyone.
Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper provides the punch of color that I wanted for this card. The Crushed Curry strip is stamped with the sprinkles image from the stamp set Balloon Bash with Versa Mark Ink.
The balloons from the same stamp set are stamped with Tangelo twist, Bermuda Bay, & Crushed Curry Ink matching the colors that are in the paper. I fussy cut the balloons and added a piece of Linen Thread to each balloon. The balloons are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The strings are brought together and secured with a Gold Basic Metal Button. Another length of Linen Thread is tied in a bow which is attached to the button with a Glue Dot.
HB which stands for Happy Birthday, is stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White Cardstock and fussy cut. It is also popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Lots of fussy cutting for 26 swap cards!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Hugs,
Ginger
STAMPIN' UP! SUPPLIES USED:
I love the birthday paper! I think I need some for all the birthdays in my family!! This is a cute card. I am into bright colors and designs. Good job!
You definitely accomplished your goal! It definitely is a card for anyone. It has the party feel. Nice card.
C&C, cute and colorful! Yay, just like the balloon says. When I saw the stripes or swipes of color in the DP – I want to add little flames to them – they look like colorful birthday candles to me! I like the way the button holds the balloons – another bright touch. I was wondering about the sprinkles stamp – well, you solved that indecision for me! Wouldn’t it be cool to have the initials of HB and use this as a monogram on cards? I think I am just gonna have to CASE this one in multiples! Hope you are having a great time and learning lots!
