Merry Christmas to you and yours! Today I am celebrating with family but I wanted to take time to wish you a very Happy Holiday Season. In addition, it is time for another Palas Paper Arts Sketch Challenge from the talented Nicole Watt.
I prefered to turn the sketch on its side because of course, I saw it as a Christmas Tree.
My tree is avariety of triangles cut from the Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper. You might recognize my background dsp as coming from the same Paper Stack.
My card base is Early Espresso and it is repeated with the paper for the tree trunk and again with the ink color for the sentiment.I love the script of this particular sentiment which comes from the Watercolor Winter Too stamp set.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! In closing, thank you for supporting my blog this past year. Your comments have meant so much to me and it has been heartwarming interacting with all of you. May your 2015 be the best year yet!
Hugs,
Ginger
Very unique!I like your idea of making it into a tree and a very handsome tree it is.
Happy holidays! No snow for us for a change but at least we have a nice sunny day! I love the background paper with the snowflakes and especially with the polka dot paper. I know the tree fits the sketch but I still like the larger triangle on the bottom. But, that is me and this is your card! The early expresso is a wonderful choice for the mat as it goes with the truck and looks wonderful with the DP with the snowflakes! Perfect sentiment too! Great job! Wishing you and your family a great holiday season.
So nice to hear from you Chris. I actually prefer the bigger triangle on the bottom too. We got abut 4-5 of snow last night so it is very much like winter here. I received your card and just love it. It looks so regal with the envelope liner to match! The stamped image is perfect!
Hope you and Mike have a very merry Christmas. Bob is not feeling well so it is a little quiet here. I sent ur card but with the way the Post Office is behaving who knows when u might get it. I mailed a package toElethas family with her in Seattle. Although it said out for delivery on the 22nd, it still has not been delivered. Guess I will be visiting them tomorrow :(.

Sent from my iPad
fun card and love the additional snowflakes! Merry Christmas and happy New year to you!
Sweet sweet tree!
I love your card! I saw it in person because I was at Ginger’s house celebrating the birth of Christ. What fun we had with the two little boys and Champ!
Thank you Windy! I love those Frosted Snowflakes and couldn’t resist using them! Merry Christmas to you & your family as well.
Great card, Ginger. Love the font on the sentiment and it looks like you used a Gorgeous Grunge stamp on the paper for it. The DSP and the snowflake embellishments are perfect together! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you my friend!
Love this, Ginger! The placement of the sequins is such a nice touch!
How sweet Ginger. Love those little snowflake sequins. Perfect!
So whimsical, Ginger! I like that you used different size triangles – and those snowflake sequins really help the background DSP to pop!
Love that you layered more snowflakes over the DSP. Very pretty.
