Lately I have been seeing a lot of the Baby Wipe Technique. For this technique, use an empty stamp case and place any type of baby wipe in the bottom of the case. Select 3 or 4 different reinkers – some light & some darker. Staring with the lightest color of reinker, drop beads of reinker onto the baby wipe. Use more drops of the lighter color and fewer of the darker colors. Make sure that the baby wipe is saturated with no white spots visible.
Place your stamp in this just like you would in an ink pad.
As you can see, it is a very different image with lots of colors. Although a flower image would probably be better to use, I just had to try it with Nature's Peace. The reinkers that I chose were crumb cake, crushed curry, old olive and cherry cobbler.
The card base is a standard size Crumb Cake. My layers are Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive & Whisper White. The bow is tied from a length of 1/8" Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon. And, both Old Olice & Cherry Cobbler Candy Dots are used for embellishment.
While I was inking, I also inked up the Wondrous Wreath. Stay tuned to see that result. What stamp would you use this techinque with? Please leave me a comment and I just might try them.
Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Ginger
STAMPIN' SUPPLIES USED:

You have made such beautiful cards with this stamp!
Oh La La I love how this turned out! This card is vibrant and makes me smile as soon as I saw it! Love the color combo, love the whole card I can hardly wait to see what else you have in store!
I am laughing to myself on this technique. I have just gotten my supplies to do this method. I will be thinking on stamps to use and let you know. I like what you did with this method of stamping. I notice how evenly the colors you chose are distributed. Nice job!
Interesting! I have only tried the baby wipes with leaves and had great success with them at a class. That demo had lots of colors of reinkers whereas I don’t have very many. This card would be fun to try with blues maybe? You could come up with lots of fun combinations! Love the scrolly ribbon parts. I also liked how you matted it and used the candy dots and the ribbon. Fun!
Hi Ginger. Love the look you achieved with this technique. Makes for a real…wow…how’d she do that kind of card. No idea why…but it has me thinking of Christmas in Hawaii now. {grin} Now to put baby wipes on the list for my next dollar store trek.
