I tried a new technique today with the stamp set Something for Baby & the matching Baby's First Framelits Dies.
Using the framelits, I created a border with some of the smaller framelits. After creating the edge, I stamped the image on the cut out. The baby carriage is a perfect fit for the bottom part of my card.
Hello Honey cardstock creates a standard size card base, although the front of the card is smaller because of the cut out border. The Decorative Dots Embossing Folder adds some texture to the front panel. In addition, some Wild Wasabi Seam Binding is tied around this layer ending up in a fun bow.
The sentiment is from Baby, We've Grown. It was stamped with Black Staz On Ink & colored with several Stampin' Write Markers to match the color in the rocker toy ( not sure what is really called). Various sizes of Pearls adorn the front of my card. The inside of the card is covered with a patterned piece of dsp from the Lullaby paper pack.
All-in-all, I am pleased with my card and I plan to try this technique again. But, I am really interested in what you think. Please leave a comment to let me know your opinion. Thanks for stopping by my blog today!.
Hugs,
Ginger
STAMPIN' UP! SUPPLIES USED:
I really like your card. How did you use the framelits—-how did you only cut part of the framelit?
Thanks
What an adorable card! You really went way out to create this card. I love how you have items hanging on the edge of the card. Any expecting parent would love this card!
Another unique card from Gingerstamps.com. I really like this card and your creativity with it, nice job.
