Hey Blog friends! Time for another sketch challenge from the ever so talented Nicole Watt.
With Father's day around the corner, I decided to create a masculine card for the challenge. The 3 panels on the right of the sketch reminded me of a hanging sign. I used the Look Up to Father stamp along with a sentiment fromTeeny Tiny Wishes to adorn several of the panels. The middle panel is just embossed with the Argyle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
The main image is the tree from the Look Up to Father stamp. First I used the brush end of the Wild Wasabi Stampin' Write Marker to color the tree. Folllow this with a random coloring using the Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker. The tree trunk was colored with the Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker. Ink the edges of this piece with Early Espresso Ink.
This image was then cut out with the Window Frames Framelits Collection. It was matted with Wild Wasabi cardstock that was cut with the next largest Window Frames Collection Framelit.
The background is created with the Hardwood Stamp and Early Espresso Ink on Sahara Sand cardstock. I nipped the corners with the 1/2-inch circle punch.
Finally, the sign was strung with Linen Thread for a more realistic sign look. The bow is tied around a Candy Dot Base that is adorned with a Wild Wasabi Candy dot.

STAMPIN' UP SUPPLIES USED:
This card is such a great looking card. The wood is so real looking. The picture doesn’t give it justice. I really like it.
I think anyfather would love to get this card. I’m looking at the versatility. This card could be changed to a Birthday card etc. I like the layout. I like coming to your blog every day, something interesting and fun always awaits me.
Great card!! I like the different way you showed the stamp from the other day! Both cards with this stamp are excellent. It is fun going to your blog!!
I really like how you showed a different way of doing the Fathers Day Card. I still love that tree so I will have to break down & buy it. Also love the woodgrain stamp so will have to buy that as well! See what you do to me!
Fantastic Ginger. Love the wood and the beautiful tree.
