The card for today is a sngle layer, no embellishment card. Although, it could definitely be blinged up with some pearls , rhinestones or candy dots.
To create this card, use copy paper as a mask for the top and bottom of the card. Ink up Postage Due in the color of your choice and stamp. I chose Crisp Cantaloupe. The mask maintains a nice "white space" on the card.
Select a larger size sentiment, I chose Another Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set. Ink it with Black Staz On and stamp in the lower right corner so that the image is partially in the "white space".
Using the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker and a ruler, draw lines as shown on the card. I think I would like my lines to be a bit thicker than what I drew. And, Candy Dots might be a nice addition to this card. But, I was keeping it super simple this time.
Oh wait, I am going to do the additions suggested. Okay, here is what it looks like with the changes.
I made the lines thicker and I added Black candy Dots.
So, what do you think? Are the changes worthwhile or not?
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

STAMPIN' UP! SUPPLIES USED:
This was a nice card originally but your changes take it to a whole other dimension! Thank you for showing us that it is okay not to be completely happy with a card and what can be done if we come back to it later! I did not comment yesterday but although I definitely favor whisper white I really liked the very vanilla version. I will have to consider very vanilla more often.
I like what you did, nice to learn techniques, even little ones that make a big change on a card. I like both cards. The second one with the dots if my favorite.
I agree with Barb and Cathi! Either card is quite nice, but the second card is my favorite! Thanks for teaching us new ways!
I agree with the other 3, although I loved the first card, the second card really raised the bar! The second card gets my vote, but I still loved the first one too!
Very interesting! On the first card there is more white space on the postage due stamped part. So, I really like the thinner line with that card. Dots might interfere with the delicacy of the card but it would even out the bolder thank you. Ummmm, then the next card shows the fun little candy dots which I really like on there and I like the thicker lines with all the cantaloupe color plus the lines go with the thank you. Both cards and really great but I think for me I would love the candy dots and the thicker lines with the different stamped image. This was a really fun lesson and I do forget about hand drawing a line like that on there. It brings new meaning to the Crisp in Crisp Cantaloupe! I really love the black with this color and the white. Really interesting! That reminds me I need that thank you set – I keep meaning to order it and I don’t even think I have it on my wish list!
Who knew crisp cantaloupe and black look so great together?! I love the simplicity of this card and the sentiment on top of the design. Superb! And the second version gets the slight edge in my book.
