I'm loving this card making gig! The 2014 Occassions Catalog from Stampin' Up! has so many fun things that I am having a difficult time deciding what to play with next! For my post today, I chose the elegant Simple Stems stamp set with the beautiful Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper.
Although the Secret Garden Framelits match this set, I chose to snip the flower out because I wanted to layer it. I love the dimension when the layers are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. Coordinating pieces of the dsp were matted with Island Indigo c.s.. And the Island Indigo strip of c.s. was enhanced with a strip of Delicate Details Lace Tape. This stuff is so easy to use because it is self sticking and yet it gives you the option to lift it up and move it with no trouble.
The sentiment is from another one of my favorite stamp sets - Happy Watercolor. This is such a fun sentiment because it allows almost any sentiment to follow it on the inside of the card.
Careful placement of a few Candy Dots to fill some of the white space at the top of the card and in the center of the flower and my card was finished.

Ginger! You changed my mind …I really didn`t think I wanted this stamp set (Simple Stems) but, now that I have seen what you did with it …I love it ! I have the Secret Garden Framelits so I guess it goes on my very long “Gotta get next ” list !! Pretty card ..dreamy colors . Love it !
Through watery teary eyes (I just came from Ann Schach and Susan Itell’s blogs) I can rejoice with your watercolor card! This is stunning! Everything is just perfect – the placement of the flower with the coordinating splotch of color and all. The flower is just special in itself. I love the touches of the candy dots too. The island indigo looks stunning with this paper. I have to remember that when I make a card with this DP when I finally order it. Beautiful job and thank you for not making me shed any more tears!
Beautiful card, awesome job on the card! I could go on to say love the color combo, the stamp, the accessories, I do have some of the lace tape too! I should really just say DITTO for the card. I keep repeating myself everyday on your blog with the new card for the day. Love everything about it!!
