In a few short days, I will leave for Leadership in Houston. One of the most anticipated events that occurs at Leadership is the Manager's Reception. This year it is at the Downtown Aquarium, Houston. Pretty exciting for a landlocked Montana Girl!
In the meantime, I have been working on Valentine's posts for my blog during my abscence. I decided to kick it off with a challenge card for the Pretty Pals – Mary Fish is my upline. The challenge is Bling on the New Year. I have had my eye on the new Gold Sequin Trim since I received my Occassions Catalog. It's a perfect time to bring it out, don't you agree?
This card is headed to one of my daughter's friends who recently became engeaged. Bling just fits an occassion like that one!
It's a pretty simple card, but that is what I needed so it did not overpower the bling. The Sequin Trim paired with a Gold Foil Sheet gave me just the look I wanted. A simple, but elegant sentiment, blinged up with Gold Embossing Powder and my card was finished. I just couldn't resist a single sequin to dot the "i" in the sentiment.
The Embossing Buddy is the perfect tool to use when embossing. Rub it on your papaer prior to stamping with versamrk ink in order to keep those stray flecks of embossing powder under control.
