Yesterday was such a glorious day! I spent it creating in preparation for Cristmas. When I first saw the Holiday Mini Catalog, I was immediately drawn to the Muslin Bags and the Santa's List Stamp. The idea that jumped into my head was to make bags of "coal" to put on my tree. On Christmas Eve, everyone would select a bag from the tree, Depending on what you picked, you would be deemed naughty or nice. of course, I will fix it so the children all get "nice" bags while the adults – well let's just say that they will be on their own! I found bags of coal at my local big box store so I am ready to go.
Here's a close up of just the stamped bag.
The secret to stamping on muslin bags is to make sure that you slip a piece of cardstock into the bag. This will prevent the ink from running through to the back of the bag. I used Black Staz On Ink. The sentiment "Hope You're Nice" is also from the Santa's List set. Oh, Goodie! contains the HoHoHo used on the tag.
I am delighted with how these turned out and I can't wait to see the kids on Christmas Eve! The best part – the muslin bags are on sale for 25% off until Monday night. Priced at $7.46 for 8 bags, I could fill my tree!
I also spent some time creating packaging for gifts, Take a look at these boxes.
And, checkout this bag with a snowflake ornament used for decoration. Pull the snowlake out and use it ias an ornament!
These snowflakes are available in packages of 10, precut and scored with everything you need to make them except the hot glue, for just $14.95! I love them and can't wait to make more. the item number for the Festive Flurry Ornament Kit is 135813.
The Extra-Large Gift Boxes are available for $25% off until Monday night. That means that you get 3 boxes for just $2.96. These are 43/8"x6"x6" and they are food safe! Think of all that dsp sitting in your house! What a fun way to use some of it up and create some fun packaging.
If you read the title of my post today, it said Here Comes Santa! Well, I want to give you a heads up that the Stampin' Up! Santa is on his way! Check this out!
