I am in Salt Lake anticipating the start of the Stampin' Up! Convention.  The energy level is high with lots of excitement in the air.  And, I want to share some of that excitement with you in the form of a seak peek from the Holiday Mini which starts August 1st.

The card base is Pumpkin Pie c.s. but for some reason the picture makes it look much brighter,  Can you spot at least 4 new items on the card? Different patterns of dsp only count once.

I was pleased with how this card turned out.  Sometimes I imagine an outcome that doesn't always happen!  There is a new product in the mini called Thinlits and I used one of them to cut the word thankful.  The secret to using the thinlits is to put a piece of waxed paper between the thinlit and your piece of c.s.,  They work like a dream then!  Just use your paper piercer to poke out the holes.

Thankful looking down

One layer on the card is 1-1/4" Burlap ribbon.  Now this is fun stuff!  It can be used on cards, 3-D projects, gift wrapping, etc.  Good stuff!  I adhered it with some Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A new stamp, Magnificent Maple, provides the focal image,  I stamped it once each  in Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Chip and snipped each leaf out in order to stack them together.

Thankful flat

Sweater Weather dsp is my choice for this card.  Isn't that just the best name ever!  It immediately calls up images of cool weather, hot chocolate by the fire and of course, a warm sweater.  If you liked the card today, please leave me a comment.  I do read each and every one of them.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
