Easter is coming right on the heels of St. Patrick's Day. The turnaround to make a plethora of cards is short. So, I decided to create an easy Easter card that would be quick and fun. Pictured below are my Easter Egg cards.
I used the Stampin' Up Oval Framelits to cut both the main card and the layer of dsp. To get the scalloped card, just score a 51/2" x 81/2" piece of Whisper White c.s.
at 41/4. Place the largest Oval Framelit – the scallop one, so that
the top of the framelit is just barely off your card. Run it through
the Big Shot. Simple , huh! But how fun to have a card shaped like an Easter Egg!
The inside of the card is a case from p. 23 of the Stampin' Up Spring Occassions Mini catalog. A bunny and the eggs from the stamp set A Little Bit of Spring were stamped with Black Staz On Ink. Then I colored the images with a Blender Pen and various ink pads.
When I finished, I felt like my cards needed asomething else. I finally settled on a ribbon bow with the tag stamped from Tiny Tags and punched with the Jewelry Tag Punch. A bit of Whisper White Bakers Twine made short work of attaching the tag to the bow.
Now to get the cards addressed and in the mail!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Your comments are important to me. I do read each and every one.
