May 31, 2015 | Celebrate, Friend, Technique, Thank You |
Today I am sharing my take on a card I cased from Andrea Walford that uses color gradation.

Two things that are essential in the creation of this card. A good Stamp-a-ma-jig and a solid image border type stamp like Dotty Angles. Take a look at another sample.

This card uses the Chalk Lines Stamp Set and of course the Stamp-a-ma-jig. It is also very important to attach the card stock you are stamping on securely to your grid paper. I used some dotto adhesive from my stash. If you don't have ditto, you can use a Two-Way Glue Pen and just let it dry before placing your card stock on it. It will be tacky but not like adhesive and your card stock will stay put.
One more look at each card from another view.

Notice that a row or two on each card is stamped with 2 colors of ink to create a third color. I like the rainbow effect. What do you think? Please leave me a comment with your thoughts on this technique. I love to hear from you!

STAMPIN' UP! SUPPLIES :
May 29, 2015 | Birthday, Congratulations, Graduation |
The Mini Treat Bag is just perfect for creating fun gift card/cash/check holders for any occasion but right now I need Graduation bags.

These were done with Birthdays in mind – love the fun colors. Here are the Graduation Treat Bags done in school colors.

The Mini Treat Bag Thinlit is soooooo easy to use and it comes with a really nice assortment of thinlets to decorate the bag- including sentiments. I am loving it!! You know what that means – you will be seeing more of them!
For my Elegant Eggplant Bag, I created a simple card for the inside with a place to put a gift card, check or cash.

The banners are created with the help of the new Banner Triple Punch!. My intention was to ignore this punch but I am so glad that I caved in and bought it. Talk about easy banners! Love it! And the leftovers from punching my banners are what I used for "prongs" to securely place my gift in the bag.
Look at all the pieces that are included in the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Die.

The best news is that this Mini Treat Bag Thinlit Die is continuing so be sure to get yours.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Remember that if you have any questions about my project I am only an email away. I love hearing from you and so appreciate your comments.

Ginger
May 28, 2015 | Pals Paper Arts, PPA card |
It's time for a new challenge from the Pals Paper Arts. This challenge is a sketch created by the super talented Nicole Watt. My card first and then the sketch.

The backdrop for my card is Bermuda Bay Cardstock that has been embossed with the Zig Zag Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. This is topped with a colorful design from the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack. Mimicing the pattern found on the dsp layer are 3 card stock banners created with Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush & Tip Top Taupe card stock.

The focal image is created with the You've Got This stamp set. The background is created with Tip Top Taupe Ink & it has been stamped off twice to leave a light image. The flower is inked with both the Watermelon Wonder & Cucumber Crush Stampin' Write Markers. After stamping the image, I used an Aqua Painter with the Watermelon Wonder & Cucumber Crush Ink Pads to create a wash of color on my flower.
The sentiment from the same stamp set is inked with Cucumber Crush Ink & stamped on a Whisper White card stock banner. The last touch of color is a Watermelon Wonder Blossom found in the new 2015 – 2017 In Color Blossom Accents.
